This is a Senior Auditor with responsibility for leading or supervising a team within an audit engagement and is considered a mentor, trainer, developer of less tenured Audit team members. The Senior Auditor, Team Lead is responsible for developing new and existing audit concepts, gaining client acceptance, training all audit levels to execute audit projects and evaluating the effectiveness of audit concepts with the goal of auditing data on behalf of Client’s clients to generate high quality recoverable claims for Client and for clients of Client. Assists Audit Manager in managing audit productivity, achieving expected quality and revenue goals. Successful performance in this position facilitates effectiveness of the audit, the quality of the results delivered, appropriate retention of records, and enhances the professional image and audit reputation of Client. Displays professional skepticism that enhances the work performed in order to achieve success in position.

Key Responsibilities
• Operations Management. Plans, schedules and coordinates the work of the department to achieve stated goals. Implements and utilizes metrics to monitors and ensure all activities are performed consistently within established company guidelines. Effectively supervises assigned personnel, equipment operation and workflow. Ensures operational controls and day-to-day processes are in place. Assists with distribution of work among Auditors and Audit Support Assistants ensuring timely submission and handling of file transmissions, and responding to all internal/external client requirements/inquiries swiftly and professionally. 
• Provides Oversight Support. Serves as a team leader and/or escalation path for data center, clients, providers, auditors, audit managers, and others by providing leadership and direction in responding to complex inquiries and problem resolution. Actively recommends system or process improvements or enhancements that will increase productivity, quality or cost containment.
• Proprietary Reports. Utilizes various Client proprietary reports, systems and tools provided to the audit engagement. Provides metrics and information, as requested or scheduled, to include (but not limited to): hours worked, members reviewed, calls made, claims written, and dollars found. Elevates provider/client suggestions and concerns to appropriate Audit Manager, and offer solutions as needed. 
• People Management. Consistent with good people management practices and company values. Provides managerial leadership and direct the selection, supervision, evaluation and development of staff. Sets objectives and conducts performance reviews for direct reports and oversee the remaining evaluations indirect team members.  
• Performance Management. Works with Human Resources to recommend and implement performance management, progression, and compensation actions as warranted. Resolves employee concerns and other sensitive people issues consistent with Human Resources policies and guidelines.  
• Staff Training & Development. Follows established processes for training and career progression to enable revenue growth and auditor and support staff development and engagement. Promotes and participates in knowledge sharing activities such as best practices, benchmarking, whitepapers and IT tools enhancement. Ensures that all levels of staff are properly trained on policies, procedures and best practices and that proper training, education and required certifications are maintained as required.
• Meets or Exceeds Standards for Productivity. Maintains productivity goals and standards set by the department. Ensures all department rules and processes are followed. Alerts manager of system issues or other issues impacting productivity.  
• Meets or Exceeds Standards for Quality. Achieves the expected level of quality set by the department. Verifies completeness and accuracy of work. Alerts manager of issues or concerns impacting quality of work.
